WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THERAPY?

I believe therapy is a unique, collaborative relationship in which you get to express and explore the depths of your inner world. My role as your therapist is to offer compassion, understanding, empathy, and observation to support you in reaching your goals. It is natural to feel nervous about seeing a therapist and I acknowledge the step you've taken to ask for help. An important aspect of our first session or two is to discover if we are a good fit. We'll also get to explore why you've come to therapy, some of the goals you may have, and how I anticipate beginning to support you in working towards them.

DO YOU OFFER IN PERSON OR TELEHEALTH SESSIONS?

I am currently offering all Telehealth sessions through virtual HIPPA compliant software. As I am licensed in the state of California and you must also be present in the state of California in order to attend sessions. All current and new clients will be informed once in person sessions are offered.

WHAT IS YOUR THEORETICAL ORIENTATION/APPROACH TO THE THERAPEUTIC PROCESS?

I find Psychodynamic, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavioral theories and techniques to be helpful for my clients. I believe unresolved issues and struggles have a foundation in the past, and so I may encourage you to explore the impact childhood experiences and family dynamics have had on your current perspective and created meaning of yourself, others, and the world.

WHO DO YOU SEE?

I see adults (individuals, couples, and families) who are seeking support in working through issues relating to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, substance abuse, relational discord, and difficult life transitions.

WHAT IS YOUR SESSION FEE AND DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

My session fee is $160 per 50 minute session for individuals and $200 per 50 minutes session for couples and families. Payment is collected at the time of service. I do not currently accept insurance. If you have a PPO type plan and want to submit a claim for out-of-network reimbursement, I can give you a receipt of payment so that you can seek reimbursement directly through your insurance carrier.

DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?

I do have some sliding scale spots to accommodate financial hardship. Please let me know you are desiring a sliding scale fee during our initial consultation so we can discuss further.
